| This commission coordinates activities of
organizations dealing with women’s and children’s issues.
Its focus is to promote gender mainstreaming in development
issues, to publicize and advocate for gender equity,
children’s rights and representation. The Commission is also
focused on promoting participation of women in politics and
leadership.
Members of the Women and Children Commission are focused on
the following:
- Women empowerment projects
- Advocacy on women rights
- Children’s rights
- Community development
- Gender development and representation
- Orphaned and vulnerable children
